It seems that my mind wants these simple games again...I find myself reading books like Ready Player One and going back to relive the old Atari Games (adventure, missile command, yars revenge)...or buying one of the NES Classics
I wonder why that is sometimes....do i just no longer wish to play games these days that are all to geared toward quick matching with random players with no real connection. Or am I just to slow and tired to play these newer games..also not it or I wouldnt have completed this a few months ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0VMJ8oEmYw no....
I think its maybe because those older games are a bit more like the difference between a book and Tv. The realm was an open door for your own imagination at times, even the boring ones. There was no...outside noise like in modern video games where 90% of the time your first inclination is to just like up all the best items and go for them (see previous video lol) Hell even scammers had to have great imaginations sometimes.
I think some Indie games are slowly bringing that back, because they realize we who grew through the 80's and 90's want that experience....want to get back to feeling that again.
Just wondering if any other 30 somethings or even older are at that point.....seems like I buy fewer and fewer new premium games these days and instead end up looking through my old 90's game cd's or checking out abandonware (which consequently is where Realm should be so someone can restart it free of charge)
