I called the company that handles their website this morning around 9AM.
Me: Hi, this may be an odd question, but do you do business with Norseman Games?
Them: We handle parts of their website (I believe secure.realmserver.com, for billing, is hosted elsewhere).
I explain what's going on and why I'm calling.
Them: Oh, their website is down??
Me: Yes, it has been for a week and a half now.
Them: Hmm, we're going to have to look into that.
He wouldn't give out Norseman's contact info obviously, but I explained what was going on and how people are....unhappy to say the least, and that people are going to start filing fraud charges with their banks as NG continues to bill people (I got billed on the 15th and 17th).
Them: Yea, that sounds bad. We'll definitely reach out to them.
No idea if they actually did or not, or if they will, but the website was back up less than a half hour later. I'm sure NG had nothing to do with the website coming back online, whoever the tech I talked to with probably just rebooted the web server that hosts their site.
Not that it coming back up actually did any good.
