Well yeah but that's just a part of why number two happened.
There was the break in/theft, the flood, legal issues within the family, the Ellington Ellis aspect, and Scott having a terminal cancer which all had effects on the state of the game.
Regardless I still believe the age of the game had caught up to it and would have regardless of those issues. There was only so much that could be done with the game unless they upgraded to a new client.
Either they would have needed to come up with a new iteration to keep subs coming. Or ride it out, cut costs, and get all you can out of it. Which is what they did.
Now they have an option to make a last bit of cash before the well dries. Either way Stephen is going forward so I can't see why they wouldn't walk away with something rather than nothing.
