Just recently learned that back when I started, The Realm was still in it's first year. My dad was a gamer, and for the longest time, I'd just sit on his lap and watch him play...I was 8 at the time, by the way. After awhile, he let me create my own character. It took off from there. Made the typical ASGW and had a blast with it. Eventually, he got me my own account, and things definitely changed, for the better. This was maybe a year after the initial start. We took a break from it and went off to play other things.
Upon returning, and having my own account, I made my first Wizard, named after his of course. Even though in my opinion, they were crazily underpowered in comparison to Warriors, it was still my favorite class out of the choices. That was the only gripe I ever had with the game. Honestly, upon this reboot, I'd love to see Wizards be on par with Warriors for once, and maybe not have the Mage's Hat get that silly nerf...speaking of which, I poofed mine on the 2nd enchant just trying to go for a 3x :(.
I don't remember what year my "heyday" started, but boy was it a blast. I wasn't widely known among the community, but I wouldn't say I was unknown either. Since my play times were so random, I'd honestly be quite surprised if anyone remembers my Warrior (account name I'm using), or my Wizard, OleGGjr. I did use a few other names, but those were the main ones. Just incase you're wondering, the "GG" thing stood for Gentle Giant, and it was something my dad came up with, and was used by the rest of my family that played at the time.
Fun fact: I never actually hit 1000 that whole time. Wound up being too much of a "townie" after getting my warrior to 560 something, and my wizard to 430 something.
Sorry about rambling on, but with all the memories I have with this game, it's hard to keep it short and simple. =P
